What a wonderful week we have had. Saturday, Apr 5 2008

We had our first Monday formal, Coreef Janus was our DJ. What can I say, I have a thing for those Brit DJ’s. It was a small but cozy crowd.

Stang’s birthday party on Monday had the club hopping and jumping! Wulfus Snook was our DJ. Presents all over the place, dancing, joking and the love that flowed.

Tuesday was slow, second life seemed to be slow all week, to be honest. Must be the fine spring weather real life getting people out and about. DJ Stang Ulysses kept us company.

Wednesday was a day to finish the wedding area for the up coming nuptials, which look like they will be rescheduled. The brides are very happy with it all. And I want to thank Tawney Bian of Wolf’s Pet Creations (one of my best friends in the whole world) for her patience, understanding and the use of her park ground.

Thursday we had the wedding rehearsal and Irish Night at the Pub. Both of course were a success.

Friday, we had a small cozy crowd at the club while DJ Graelin Beale kept us company for our first event of the day. Kristine Harrop our day shift hostess was there looking lovely as ever.

Friday evening, DJ Wulfus Snook returned for best in latex night. Emily Menges was our winner. I am a week behind on posting pictures of our winners, I will have to get on that both in world and out.

Today we are waiting for second life to re-open. Hopefully, it will and we can at least work on rescheduling the wedding.

Grand opening of The Tempest Night Club Tuesday, Feb 5 2008

What a roaring success!! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and enjoyed the day with us. We will have regular events on Monday and Friday nights at the club.

Manic Mondays, come and kick back with us and dance away those dreaded Monday blues. A perfect way to end the first day of the week with good music and good friends.

Friday nights will be theme night. I will post them here on the blog, in second life events and through group notices.

One never knows what will happen any other night of the week. We may have an impromptu event, games, who knows. :)

So much has been happening since we opened. Tuesday, Jan 29 2008

Myself and the staff of EBL have just been so busy since we opened. We have done our first wedding, several club parties and have gained quite a few clients. We are now going to have to tell our clients that we need a minimum of two weeks notice, the more the better.

Learning curve lessons from the last week. Weddings are difficult no matter what you do. However, it apparently went well enough that the guests were at least pleased and there are a few weddings coming from this one in Event by Lana’s future.

We finally did it, we bit the bullet and have opened our own club. Well, first we spoke with Emer Emmons (we by the way is my business partner Stang Ulysses and my manager Julianna Ella) of Clan Flanagan. We have secured a 4 story building from her. Top floor are offices for executive members of EBL, the third floor has been named The Rose Petal and is available for clients to rent for small private events, the bottom two floors are our club. The Tempest.

We have also hired a complete staff of DJ’s, hostesses, and security. We have a dress designer on staff as well. Two of our outside contracts include J&J Fireworks (United Beck, best pyrotechnics man on second life) and Shimmering Stills owned by Shayden Dufaux, an up and coming photographer on second life. What she does with photos from there, I haven’t seen any where else.

We have several events on the back burner, client has real life scheduling conflicts to resolve. A large part for Wolf Pet Creations coming up in March, the grand opening of The Tempest on Saturday, a day long event. We are also working on a location to host a fashion show, art exhibit and much more. There are several places we are negotiating with now to host these events.

I will post more details as they become available.

Well enough late night rambling for this business woman, she needs her beauty sleep. Who would have thought than a virtual business would have so much writing and paperwork to do.

Until next time my loves! Enjoy life, it is far too short to be spent worrying about tomorrow, today is the present, a gift, treat it as such.
